A summer of British sport
The Open Championship
Tyrwhitt recommends.....
The Open Championship, more commonly referred to as "The Open" , is the oldest of all four major golf championships. Though it takes place in the height of summer, with the British weather being what it is we can't guarantee you'll be in shorts for the entirety of the weekend. Best take a jumper just in case - one of our wonderfully soft cotton cashmere knits should be just the ticket.
World bog snorkelling championships
Tyrwhitt recommends.....
Casual is the order of the day for the World Bog Snorkelling Championships. Rarely does a 120 yard paddle through a water filled trench cut through a peat bog, require spectators to be wearing their Sunday best . One of our casual shirts will keep you looking smart whilst everyone about you is losing their heads.
Cheese rolling
Tyrwhitt recommends.....
Though we wouldn't recommend entering Gloucester's very own extreme sport, if you will participate at least you should do so looking sharp. Our long sleeve pima polo are wonderfully soft and perfect for covering up bruises sustained from chasing a wheel of cheese down an incredibly steep hill.
Henley Royal Regatta
Tyrwhitt recommends.....
Established in 1839, The Henley Royal Regatta is the foremost event in the British rowing calendar. Whilst the crews go head to head in the water, the sartorial competition is equally as fierce on dry land. Make sure you measure up in one of our summer blazers - all of which come with working button cuffs and hard wearing corozo nut buttons.
The Cartier queens cup
Tyrwhitt recommends.....
Featuring the best players in the world the Cartier Queens Cup is arguably the most prestigious event in the international polo calendar. Make sure you don't look out of place with one of our beautifully tailored Navy blazers - an essential for any sartorially conscious man.
Wimbledon
Tyrwhitt recommends.....
As British as afternoon tea, Wimbledon is a national institution and one of the crown jewels in our sporting calendar. Look relaxed, but still dapper in a pair or our classic or tailored fit chinos. For a striking look that's very now , choose one of our brand new colourful versions in sky, pink or green.
Aberdeen Asset Management Cowes week
Tyrwhitt recommends.....
Nothing says Cowes week like a pair of boat shoes. Keep it classic with our Navy Lavenham's or if your feeling a little bolder try one of our brightly coloured Falmouth's - guaranteed to add a splash of summer colour to proceedings.
The Braemer gathering
Tyrwhitt recommends.....
What is appropriate to wear to an annual Highland Games gathering? Especially one originating from those believed to have been held by Malcolm III and attended by the Royal family. Here at Tyrwhitt we advise one of our unstructured jackets - smart enough for royality and rugged enough for the Highland terrain.
Cotton/cashmere knitwear
This season our men's knitwear contains just the right amount of cashmere for spring, so it feels both luxurious and lightweight. Wear over a shirt to the office or t-shirt at the weekend.
Pima polo shirt
Pima cotton is known as 'the cashmere of cottons' because it's exceptionally soft and strong. What's more, the clever nature of the weave means the colours are particularly vivid.
